🏞 About the Role:
As Assistant Lodge Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in day-to-day lodge operations, ensuring guests experience the highest level of service, comfort, and connection to the surrounding environment. Supporting the Lodge General Manager, you’ll lead a close-knit, passionate team and help shape unforgettable ‘bucket-list’ experiences for every visitor.
From managing staff and guiding tours, to ensuring top-notch hospitality and championing conservation efforts – no two days will be the same. This is an ideal opportunity for a driven hospitality professional who thrives in a hands-on, nature-connected environment.
💼 What’s on Offer:
- Competitive salary: $70,000 – 80,000 (negotiable based on experience)

🌟 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a high-performing lodge team across all departments
- Deliver a warm, high-quality guest experience from check-in to departure
- Ensure smooth daily operations, including food & beverage, housekeeping, and guest services
- Oversee stock control, maintenance, safety, and lodge standards
- Host and guide guest tours and activities
- Assist in recruitment, staff training, and performance management
- Provide crucial support to the General Manager with administration, planning, and reporting
- Act as On-Call Manager during GM absence
- Work closely with the Conservation and Sustainability teams to support 4Cs initiatives

- Strong background in hospitality, tourism, or lodge management
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Passion for nature, guest service, and authentic experiences
- High level of organisation, adaptability, and attention to detail
- Comfortable working remotely and in a small, close-knit team
✅ Required Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s licence (own vehicle desirable)
- First Aid and CPR (HLTAID011 & HLTAID009)
- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
- National Police Clearance
- Willingness to obtain SA Driver Accreditation
- MR Licence – desirable
