We are seeking an experienced Chef for this busy venue in remote Coastal Queensland.

The roles would suit an experienced Chef with excellent bistro knowledge and a passion for great food. Previous remote area experience would be ideal.

The venue has gaming machines, busy public bar, restaurant and detached bottleshop.

Casual Position

Rates may vary based on experience and qualifications 

• $35.15 Monday-Friday
• $42.18 Saturday
• $49.21 Sunday
• $56.24 Overtime Rate
• $66.69 Public Holidays 
• Accommodation + Duty Meal $75 per week 
• Own room 

Duties: 

• Utilising a variety of fresh, frozen and prepared ingredients to prepare, cook and present a range of dishes according to a seasonal menu
• Assisting with menu changes when required
• Practicing effective stock rotation and wastage minimisation procedures
• Coordinating the cleanliness and ongoing maintenance of all kitchen equipment to ensure hygienic and safe operation
• Observing and complying with relevant Legislation, Regulations and Hotels Policies and Procedures
• Performing other related duties as requested by management

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Chef or strong cooking experience 
• Ideally have previous remote area experience
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Enjoy remote area living 

Other Details:

Daily flights on Qantas are available 
Full Telstra internet & Mobile coverage is available.
