Looking for a couple ready to swap the city for an unforgettable outback experience?
This off-grid venue in remote Far North Queensland is seeking a motivated All-Rounder Couple to join a small, friendly team. The unique venue offers fuel, café, bar, motel accommodation, and camping grounds, and we’re looking for adaptable, hands-on people who enjoy variety in their work.
If you love remote travel, meeting new people, and working across different areas of hospitality, this could be the perfect opportunity.
📅 Start Date: 27 April 2026
📍 Location: Remote Far North Queensland
💰 Package
- $35.18 per hour (Monday–Friday)
- $45.89 per hour (Saturday & Sunday)
- Accommodation & basic meals: $150 per week
- Private room in a shared staff house
🔧 About the Role
This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role where no two days are the same. You’ll be rostered across various areas of the roadhouse depending on operational needs.
Duties may include:
Housekeeping
- Cleaning and servicing motel rooms
- Laundry duties
- Maintaining common areas
Operations
- Working across the shop, café, bar, kitchen, accommodation, and grounds
Kitchen
- Preparing simple meals such as burgers and basic café food
- Dishwashing and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
Shop
- Operating cash registers and EFTPOS
- Fuel sales and customer service
- Stock unpacking and merchandising
Bar
- Serving pre-packaged drinks in accordance with RSA requirements
- Keeping the bar clean and organised
- Supporting teammates and assisting with other duties as needed
✅ What We’re Looking For
- A couple ready to live and work in a remote location
- Previous hospitality experience
- RSA & Food Handler Certificate (required before starting)
- Flexibility to work across multiple departments
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months
