Venue Manager

Salary: $100,000 + Superannuation & Accommodation (Self-Contained Unit Provided)

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Venue Manager to take the reins of a busy, well-established regional hotel in Outback Queensland.


This is not a desk job — we are looking for a true publican.


Someone who thrives on being the face of the venue, knows their locals by name, and genuinely enjoys being part of a regional community.
  
The Role:
This is a highly hands-on position, leading a small team from the front across all areas of the business including bar, bistro, gaming and events.


You will be responsible for the overall performance of the venue while creating a welcoming, social and energetic environment for both locals and visitors.
  
What We’re Looking For:
• A traditional publican who loves being on the floor and engaging with guests
• Someone who naturally becomes the face of the venue and part of the community
• Strong background across bar, bistro and gaming operations
• A hands-on leader who builds and motivates a tight-knit team
• Experience managing day-to-day operations including stock, rosters, reporting and compliance
• Confident running a busy venue with a mix of locals, tourists and events
• Must hold current QLD RSA, RSG, CLO, RMLV, and Approved Manager Licence or willing to obtain prior to commencement.
  
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all daily operations of the hotel
• Lead, mentor and develop staff across all departments
• Drive food & beverage performance and service standards
• Manage gaming operations and compliance
• Coordinate events, entertainment and promotions
• Build strong relationships within the local community
• Maintain a high standard of presentation and customer experience
