🛠️ Maintenance Attendant – Remote Coastal Far North Queensland 🌊🏨
We are currently seeking an experienced maintenance person to look after all aspects of the hotels maintenance department. This role would suit an experienced maintenance person with good all-round skills.
The venue offers self-contained units, beautifully maintained gardens, swimming pool, onsite restaurant & bar, and conference facilities.
This is a hands on maintenance role, working as the only maintenance person amongst a great team of onsite hospitality staff.
An ideal location to save money with great hours and accommodation provided. Outside of work enjoy the local fishing, awesome sunsets and all year round tropical weather.
📅 Commencement Date: 19th May 2026
💼 Employment Type: Full-Time (Annual & Sick Leave Included)
💰 Pay Rate: Full-Time
- $40.00 per hour (Monday–Sunday, loaded rate)
- Overtime – Mon–Fri (first 2 hrs): $40.00 per hour (above award)
- Overtime – Mon–Fri (after 2 hrs): $51.60 per hour
- Saturday: $51.60 per hour
- Sunday: $51.60 per hour
- Public Holidays: $58.05 per hour
- 🏡 Free shared staff accommodation included
🔧 Responsibilities
- 🚐 Airport transfers for guests via shuttle bus
- 📦 Loading & unloading stock and equipment
- ❄️ Re-stocking cold rooms
- 🛠️ General property maintenance (basic carpentry, plumbing & electrical tasks)
- 🌿 Outdoor maintenance (mowing, weeding, whipper snipping)
- 🏊 Pool cleaning and upkeep
- 🚗 Vehicle cleaning and maintenance
- ➕ Other duties as required
✅ Candidate Requirements
- Physically fit and reliable 💪
- Hands-on maintenance experience (basic carpentry, plumbing, etc.)
- Full driver’s licence required 🚗
- Ability to obtain a QLD Driver Authorisation
