We are currently seeking an experienced head chef for a busy resort located on the beautiful coastline of Western Australia.
This role will ideally suit a chef with multi outlet expereince, who enjoys mentoring and leading a large team of kitchen staff, whilst working in a hands on capacity along side the team.
The property offers a fantastic team environment which is fun, fulfilling and at times challenging. This is a great opportuniy to enjoy a fantastic location whilst expanding your career and experience.
With opportunities for swimming, snorkelling and exploring the coastline, it is an ideal location to enjoy the outdoors and make the most of beach life outside of work.
Work may be available for a partner if relocating as a couple.
Package: FULL TIME ROLE
- $100,000 Annual Salary
- Free self contained Accommodation plus Duty Meals
- Annual KPI Bonus structure
Start Date: 7th May 2026
Duties will include:
- Day to day management of the kitchen in a hands on capacity working alongside the team
- Management of stock control, stock ordering
- Training, mentoring, rostering and supervision of up to 16 kitchen staff
- All aspects of food preparation, cooking and presenting of dishes according to company guidelines / customer preferences.
- Liaise with kitchen staff, food service/bar staff and restaurant management regarding customers orders and general service of kitchen operations.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment, to include proper storage of food, equipment, utensils and implements, prevention of working environment hazards and accidents at work, following accident, first aid and emergency procedures.
- Daily temperature checks of fridges, freezers, storage areas, deliveries and recording assessment where necessary.
- Ability to work well under pressure as part of a fast paced brigade.
- Abiding by all legal requirements, food hygiene regulations and food safety laws.
- Maintaining a professional, safe and hygienic appearance on duty.
- Comply with all other legal obligations, company policies and practices.
Candidate Requirements:
- Passion for creating great quality food and providing solutions to guest requests & dietary requirements.
- Strong experience with management of a kitchen team
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in a multi outlet venue
- Experience with stock control and stock ordering
- Hold a current Food Safety Supervisors Certificate
- Able to obtain a National Police Clearance prior to commencement
