Relief Manager – Coastal Far North Queensland – Short-Term Contract
We are seeking a highly experienced and capable Relief Manager for a short-term assignment in a coastal town in Tropical Far North Queensland, from 29 May to 15 June 2026. This role is best suited to a hands-on hospitality professional with proven experience in property or motel management, who can step in confidently and maintain smooth day-to-day operations with minimal supervision.
Set in a relaxed coastal community with reliable access to essential services, this location offers a unique working environment paired with a welcoming local atmosphere. It’s an opportunity to take on a varied and engaging role while experiencing a distinctive part of regional Queensland.
Relief Dates
• 29 May 2026 – 15 June 2026
Pay & Benefits (Casual)
• $2,500 per week

The Role
This is a highly hands-on position requiring flexibility, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple aspects of the property’s daily operations. You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless guest experience while maintaining operational standards across all areas.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing phone enquiries and reservations
• Guest check-in and check-out (Little Hotelier experience preferred)
• Responding to emails and guest communications
• Housekeeping, including cleaning guest rooms
• Maintaining public areas
• General customer service
• Handling mail, banking, and administrative tasks
• Assisting with other operational duties as required
Candidate Requirements
• Demonstrated experience in a similar management or relief role
• Ability to work independently and remain composed under pressure
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach to all aspects of the role
