This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced liquor retail professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to step into a hands-on supervisory role.
These high-volume venues are a central part of the local community, combining busy accommodation operations with a thriving bottleshop trade and a loyal customer base year-round.
You’ll be joining a supportive and professional team where your operational knowledge, leadership skills and ability to drive retail standards will be highly valued.
Commence: ASAP
Package: $73,810 + Super + Accommodation
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring responsible service of alcohol in line with legislation
- Maintain high presentation standards, cleanliness and organisation throughout the retail space
- Oversee stock control, ordering, pricing, merchandising displays and ticketing
- Manage cash handling, reconciliations and daily reporting procedures
- Monitor wages, GP and turnover in line with budget expectations
- Support venue management with daily retail operations and team supervision
- Assist with staff training, development and performance support
- Liaise with suppliers to coordinate promotions and retail specials
- Maintain security, compliance and workplace safety standards
About You
- Previous experience in liquor retail, including stock management and merchandising
- Strong cash handling and reconciliation experience
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, RMLV and QLD Approved Manager certification
- Confident communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities effectively
- Proven ability to lead by example in a busy retail environment
