Short-term adventure meets hands-on hospitality work
Looking for a unique escape and a chance to work in one of Australia’s most unique remote coastal locations? We’re on the hunt for adaptable, energetic Relief All-Rounders to step in and support this team during staff leave periods in Far North Queensland.
Whether you’re available for one stint or keen to take on both, this is a fantastic opportunity to combine work with an unforgettable experience.
📅 Relief Periods Available
- 1 May 2026 – 29 May 2026
- 15 June 2026 – 2 August 2026
(If undertaking both, the second stint will commence 22 June 2026)
💰 Pay & Perks (Casual Rates)
- $33.38/hr (Mon–Fri)
- $40.05/hr (Saturday)
- $46.73/hr (Sunday)
- 🏠 Accommodation + duty meals: $140/week
- 🛏️ Your own room in a shared off-site staff house
- ✈️ FREE return airfares from Cairns
- ⏱️ Some split shifts may apply
🔧 The Role – True All-Rounder
This is a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll rotate across multiple areas, including:
🍹 Bar & Front of House
- Bar service, gaming (UBET), cash handling
- Customer service & closing duties
- Taking orders, running food, clearing tables
🍽️ Kitchen Support
- Basic food prep & assisting chefs
- Dishwashing & maintaining kitchen cleanliness
🧼 General & Public Area Cleaning
- Cleaning common areas
- Restocking and maintaining presentation standards
📞 Other Duties
- Answering switchboard
- Ensuring compliance with RSA & RSG
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Current RSA & RSG (required before commencement)
- Previous bar and kitchen experience
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Someone who enjoys getting stuck in—this is a hands-on role
