We are seeking an experienced Head Chef who can confidently manage all aspects of a small commercial kitchen while delivering consistently high-quality meals in a unique tourism and hospitality setting surrounded by breathtaking coastal scenery, diverse ecosystems, and pristine wilderness.

About the Property
This well-established remote tourism property features:
- Onsite cabins
- Small camping groups
- Restaurant
- Scenic cruises and guided tours
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the kitchen
- Design seasonal menus and manage food costings
- Ordering and stock control
- Prepare staff rosters
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff
- Maintain exceptional food quality and presentation
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Deliver an outstanding dining experience for guests
- Assist with other operational duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen leadership role
- Strong menu planning, costing, and stock management skills
- Proven leadership and staff training experience
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- A commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
- The ability to work independently in a remote environment
- A positive, adaptable attitude and a passion for hospitality
Additional Information
- No pets permitted onsite
- Winter team of approximately 6 staff, increasing to around 17 during the summer season
- No mobile phone reception
- No television reception
- Starlink internet available throughout the property
