Bar Attendant / Kitchen Hand – Remote Coastal Far North Queensland

Pay Rates & Benefits
Full time or Casual Option Available
Casual – Level 3
- $34.96 per hour, Monday to Friday
OR
Full-Time – Level 3
- $27.97 per hour, Monday to Friday
- Annual leave provisions included
Additional Benefits
- Staff accommodation in an own room within a shared off-site staff house
- Accommodation and five duty meals per week for $140 per week
- One duty meal provided for each rostered day, up to five meals per week

The Role & Roster
Working Monday to Friday, you’ll enjoy a varied roster across the bar and kitchen, providing support wherever needed to keep daily operations running smoothly. Split shifts may be required, so flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude are essential.
This is a genuinely hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys variety, works well within a team and is comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
Bar & Front-of-House Operations
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service across the bar and restaurant.
- Serve customers across bar, gaming and UBET facilities.
- Handle cash and process transactions accurately.
- Open and close the bar as required.
- Take orders, run meals and clear tables.
- Maintain clean, tidy and presentable bar and public areas.
- Comply with all Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) requirements.
Kitchen Support
- Assist chefs with general kitchen operations.
- Wash dishes and maintain clean kitchen work areas.
- Assist with basic food preparation.
- Support kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous Australian bar experience.
- Current RSA and RSG qualifications, held before commencing employment.
- A strong customer service focus and a friendly, approachable manner.
- The ability to work confidently under pressure in a busy hospitality environment.
- A flexible, hands-on approach and willingness to work across both bar and kitchen duties.
- A reliable, team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist wherever required.
- The ability to manage a varied workload while maintaining high service and cleanliness standards.
This role is best suited to a practical, adaptable hospitality professional who enjoys variety and is happy to get involved in all aspects of venue operations.
