Duty Manager – Central Queensland
Are you an experienced Duty Manager with strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach and the ability to oversee multiple areas of a busy hospitality venue?
This is your opportunity to join an established multi-outlet operation in Central Queensland, where you’ll take an active role in daily venue management, lead and support the team, and deliver outstanding service across the bar, gaming, floor and functions.

- Salary: $77,000–$80,000 + super, depending on experience

About The Role
Working closely with the management team, you’ll help keep the venue running smoothly while maintaining high standards of service, presentation and compliance.
This role suits a capable hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the front, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is equally comfortable managing operational tasks and supporting staff on the floor.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising, training and supporting staff across multiple departments
- Delivering hands-on bar service, including drink preparation, table service and stock control
- Overseeing gaming operations and processing payouts in line with venue procedures
- Assisting with functions, events and special occasions
- Managing cash handling, till balancing and end-of-shift reconciliations
- Maintaining venue presentation and cleanliness, including changing beer lines and kegs
- Providing friendly, professional customer service and helping maintain a safe environment for patrons
- Taking an active role in the day-to-day operation of the venue and supporting the wider team wherever needed
About You
You’ll be a confident, practical and organised hospitality professional with previous experience in a busy venue, ideally working across several departments. You’ll bring strong customer service skills, sound operational knowledge and the ability to keep a team motivated while managing competing priorities.
You’ll also have:
- Experience supervising staff and coordinating daily operations
- Solid bar knowledge and confidence with gaming operations
- Good cash-handling skills and an understanding of end-of-shift procedures
- A proactive attitude and the ability to lead by example
- A strong commitment to responsible service, compliance and guest satisfaction
Licensing Requirements
Current Queensland RSA, RSG, CLO, RMLV and Approved Manager licence are required, or you must be able to obtain the relevant qualifications.
