Duty Manager – Tropical North Queensland 🌴
An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced and hands-on Duty Manager to work across two of Tropical North Queensland’s most iconic regional pubs. Located within a vibrant North Queensland community known for its relaxed lifestyle, warm climate and strong local hospitality culture, these busy venues offer a diverse and fast-paced environment.
This role is ideally suited to a capable hospitality professional with solid pub or tavern experience who enjoys being operationally involved across all areas of a venue. From bar service and gaming operations to accommodation, functions and food service, you’ll play a key role in supporting daily operations while delivering genuine country hospitality and leading staff from the floor.
Working closely alongside the Venue Managers, you’ll gain broad hospitality exposure across two well-established and community-focused venues with strong local trade and regular events.

- Salary: $75,000 + Super

✨ THE ROLE
This is a highly operational position suited to someone who thrives in busy pub environments and enjoys leading by example.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hands-on bar and bistro service
- Opening and closing venue operations
- Cash handling and reconciliations
- TAB, Keno and poker machine operations
- Guest accommodation check-ins and check-outs
- Supervising and supporting staff during service
- Delivering excellent customer service standards
- Assisting with general day-to-day venue operations as required
✨ ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working within a pub, tavern or hotel environment
- Current Queensland Approved Manager’s Licence
- Current RSA and RSG certificates
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Hands-on attitude and strong customer focus
- Willingness to commit to a minimum 12-month placement
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
