We’re on the lookout for a Kitchen Hand to join this small, close-knit team in one of the most remote and breathtaking corners of Tasmania. This role is ideal for someone with a love of the outdoors, a positive attitude, and a readiness to roll up their sleeves.
💼 The Package
- Casual role
- $31.19/hour (Mon–Fri)
- Weekend penalty rates apply
- Private room in a shared staff house – just $90/week
- On-site cooking facilities (meals not provided – BYO chef skills!)
- Working in nature – wake up surrounded by wilderness
🏡 About the Property
- Cabins, a cosy restaurant, and guided wilderness cruises
- Host to small camping groups and curious nature-loving travellers
- Up to 17 staff during peak season – you won’t get lost in the crowd
- No mobile signal, basic internet access – it’s the perfect digital detox
🥕 What You’ll Be Doing
Your duties will vary depending on your experience, but generally include:
- Assisting the chef with food prep & basic cooking (fryer, larder etc.)
- Washing dishes, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
- Pitching in with other departments when needed
- Embracing other tasks as they come up – no two days are the same!
