ALL-ROUNDER COUPLE – KIMBERLEY REGION, WA
We are seeking a hands-on all-rounder couple to join a remote roadhouse in Western Australia’s spectacular Kimberley region.
Working across both the roadhouse and community store, you’ll become part of a fantastic onsite team serving passing travellers and the friendly local community. These are varied roles offering a mix of retail, kitchen duties, housekeeping and general day-to-day hospitality tasks, so you’ll need to be happy pitching in wherever required.
This is a great opportunity to experience a very different side of the Kimberley during the wet season. Summer is hot and tropical, so you’ll need to be comfortable working in warmer conditions and enjoy the lifestyle that comes with living remotely.
Outside of work, experience spectacular sunsets, dramatic summer storms and fantastic local fishing, along with the slower pace and unique character of life in a remote Kimberley community.
Due to the isolated location, having your own reliable transport is essential for this role.
The Role
You’ll assist across a variety of operational areas, supporting the day-to-day running of the roadhouse, store and surrounding facilities.
Your Duties Will Include
- Providing friendly customer service at the store and roadhouse counter
- Preparing simple short-order meals and assisting with kitchen duties
- Washing dishes and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen
- Housekeeping duties including servicing rooms, making beds and cleaning bathrooms
- General cleaning of guest and common areas
- Receiving, unloading and unpacking stock
- Replenishing shelves and distributing stock as required
- Cash handling and point-of-sale transactions
- Assisting with the presentation and cleanliness of the roadhouse
- Providing support within the campground when required
- Completing other general duties as directed
About You
We’re looking for a reliable, energetic couple who enjoy working together and are happy to assist wherever needed.
To be successful you’ll have:
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience
- A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to work across multiple departments
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to live and work in a remote location
- A current vehicle for transport
- A WA Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
Package
- Casual employment
- Monday – Friday $35.66 per hour
- Saturday $42.79 per hour
- Sunday $49.92 per hour
- Accommodation & Daily Duty Meal $100 per week eachÂ
- Start date: Mid November 2026
