MLKA Live In Chef Vacancy - Remote Coastal Far North Queensland

🌊 Chef Opportunity – Remote Coastal Queensland 🌊

Start Date: Early March 2026

Dreaming of coastal living, epic fishing, and a kitchen gig with great pay and zero city stress? This is your sign.

This laid-back coastal venue is all about delicious bistro-style food, ice-cold drinks, and a buzzing atmosphere. They’re a popular stop for winter tourists and a much-loved local hub through the summer months. If you love cooking good food in a beautiful, remote location—this one’s for you.

🎣 BONUS: This town is an awesome fishing destination, so bring your rods.

Work available for a partner (must have bar experience).

💰 The Package

  • $35.15 Monday–Friday
  • $42.18 Saturday
  • $49.21 Sunday
  • $56.24 Overtime
  • $66.69 Public Holidays
  • Accommodation Provided:
    • $60 per week (each – couples)
    • $100 per week (single)

👩‍🍳 The Role

  • Prepare and cook quality bistro-style meals
  • Supervise and support junior chefs
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
  • Be a positive, reliable team player
  • Pitch in with other kitchen duties as required

✅ What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a similar chef role
  • Comfortable living and working in a remote location
  • Team-focused with a strong work ethic
  • Ideally seeking a long-term commitment

  • Telstra mobile coverage only
  • Potential work available for a partner in front of house
