Remote Coastal Community – Northern Territory

The town offers essential amenities including local stores, two supermarkets, takeaway options, a police station, swimming pool, and sporting facilities — all within a tight-knit community setting.
You must hold a current forklift ticket (or have the ability to obtain them before starting) – a current MR driver’s licence is desirable
💰 What’s On Offer (Retail Award – Level 4)
- $35.15 per hour (Mon–Fri) + penalty rates
- Overtime paid for all hours worked over 38 per week
- Free shared accommodation (electricity approx. $40 per week)
- Return travel assistance from Darwin
- Immediate start available
🛒 The Role
Based in the community’s local store, you’ll be a true all-rounder, keeping daily operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Friendly customer service & cash handling
- Register operations
- Stocking shelves, fridges & freezers
- Unloading cartons & pallets
- Stock rotation & assisting with weekly deliveries
- Merchandising & display setup
- General cleaning & store presentation
- Assisting with stocktakes and ordering
- Working across the company’s hospitality businesses as required
- Supporting the team wherever needed
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in retail or a similar hands-on role
- Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal)
- Current MR driver’s licence (desirable)
- Current forklift ticket (or ability to obtain before starting)
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months
- Resilient, adaptable, and ready for remote living

- Access via unsealed road from Darwin (dry season access)
- Air travel from Darwin can be arranged
