MLKA Hospitality Recruitment is seeking an experienced and hands-on Duty Manager for a busy, multi-faceted hospitality venue located in the historic Goldfields region of Western Australia.
  
This is an outstanding opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in high-volume venues and enjoys being actively involved in day-to-day operations. We’re looking for someone with strong leadership skills, solid food and beverage knowledge, and previous supervisory or management experience who can confidently oversee multiple departments while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  
Accessible via sealed road access or direct flights from Perth, this well-established venue features hotel and motel accommodation, a busy restaurant and bar operation, bottle shop facilities, and a loyal mix of local patrons, travellers and long-term guests. With approximately 30 staff onsite, this role offers genuine responsibility, career development and the chance to become a key member of an experienced hospitality team.

🍺 The Role
  
As Duty Manager, you will be a visible and hands-on leader across the venue, ensuring smooth daily operations while maintaining high service standards across all departments.
  
Key Responsibilities
  
• Day-to-day management of the bar and bistro operations
• Opening and closing procedures
• Assisting with reception and bottle shop operations when required
• Leading, mentoring and training hospitality staff
• Delivering exceptional customer service experiences
• Managing bookings and guest enquiries
• Supporting operational planning and service delivery
• Participating in staff and management meetings
• Maintaining venue presentation and service standards
• Assisting with stock control and labour management

🌟 We’re Looking For
  
• Previous Duty Manager, Supervisor or Hospitality Management experience
• Strong background within busy bars, bistros, hotels or hospitality venues
• Excellent leadership and team development skills
• Sound knowledge of wine, beer and spirits
• Understanding of labour costs and venue operations
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
• Current WA Approved Managers Certificate
