An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced and motivated Head Chef to join a well-established hospitality venue located in the spectacular Top End of the Northern Territory.
Surrounded by rugged landscapes, rich heritage and some of Australia’s most remarkable natural attractions, this role offers far more than a traditional hospitality position. It provides the opportunity to lead a kitchen operation in a destination that attracts travellers from across Australia and around the world.
We are seeking a confident, hands-on chef with strong leadership skills, excellent organisational ability and a genuine passion for delivering quality dining experiences. This role is ideal for an experienced Head Chef or a strong Sous Chef ready to take the next step in their career.
The property features guest accommodation, an onsite caravan park and a popular bistro restaurant catering to both travellers and locals. The kitchen operates for dinner service only, meaning no split shifts and a fantastic work-life balance.

👨🍳 The Role
- Lead and oversee all kitchen operations
- Hands-on food preparation and service
- Menu planning and development
- Ordering and supplier management
- Food cost and payroll management
- Monthly stocktakes and inventory control
- Maintain high standards of food safety and kitchen presentation
- WHS compliance and reporting
- Train, mentor and lead a small kitchen team
- General cleaning and kitchen maintenance
- Other duties as required
🌟 What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience managing food costs, ordering and budgets
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the kitchen
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Ability to commit to a minimum 12-month term
- Comfortable living and working in a remote location
