🍹 BAR ATTENDANT | COASTAL TROPICAL FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND 📍
Coastal Tropical Far North Queensland | 📅 Commencing 28 September 2026 | ✈️ Free Flight from Cairns
We’re looking for an experienced Bar Attendant to join a busy hospitality venue in Coastal Tropical Far North Queensland. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with previous Australian bar experience, a confident approach to customer service, and the ability to work across bar operations, UBET, gaming, cash handling and general cleaning while remaining calm and professional in a busy environment.
With a strong mix of bar, restaurant and public-area responsibilities, this position would suit an adaptable hospitality professional who enjoys being part of a team and is happy to pitch in wherever required.
💰 THE PACKAGE
Full time or Casual Option Available
Pay Rate-Casual-Level 3
- $34.96 per hour Monday-Friday
- $41.96 per hour Saturday
- $48.95 per hour Sunday
OR
Full-Time Position | Level 3
Full-time employment includes annual leave provisions and is based on a minimum 38-hour week.
- $27.97 per hour Monday–Friday
- $34.96 per hour Saturday
- $41.96 per hour Sunday
- Accommodation + 5 Duty Meals – $140 per week
- One duty meal provided for each rostered day
- Own room in shared staff house located off site
- Free flight from Cairns
- Daily split shifts may be required
📅 THE ROSTER
The roster includes a combination of weekday and weekend shifts, with flexibility required to work across different areas of the operation.
For the first three weeks, the roster will include:
- 3 days bar
- 2 days kitchen hand / public-area cleaning
This arrangement is to assist with annual leave coverage.
From 19 October, the role will transition to primarily bar duties, with general public-area cleaning also required on weekend days before the bar opens.
🍺 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll be involved in a varied range of hospitality duties, including:
- Bar service and day-to-day bar operations
- UBET and gaming duties
- Cash handling and balancing
- Customer service
- Restaurant service, including taking orders, running food and clearing tables
- Opening and closing the bar
- General public-area cleaning
- Maintaining RSA and RSG compliance
- Assisting other departments when required
- Working effectively as part of a busy hospitality team
👤 ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who is experienced, reliable and genuinely hands-on.
You’ll need:
- Previous Australian bar experience – essential
- Current RSA and RSG – required on commencement
- Strong customer service skills
- Confidence working in a busy environment
- The ability to remain composed and work well under pressure
- A flexible, team-focused approach
- Willingness to assist across different areas of the venue
- The ability to work split shifts when required
This is not a sit-behind-the-bar role — you’ll need to be comfortable getting involved across the operation and taking on a variety of duties throughout your shift.

Set in Coastal Tropical Far North Queensland, this destination is surrounded by an incredible combination of rich local culture, history and spectacular natural beauty.
The venue itself offers self-contained units, beautifully maintained gardens, a separate pool area, onsite restaurant and bar, and conference facilities, providing a well-equipped base for staff living and working in the region.
Qantas flies daily, with Telstra and Optus mobile coverage available.
