Bar Attendant – Coastal Far North Queensland 🌴
We’re seeking an experienced Bar Attendant to join a busy and friendly venue in remote coastal Far North Queensland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a lively environment while living in one of Australia’s most naturally beautiful regions. The venue features gaming machines, a busy public bar, a restaurant, and a detached bottle shop, so no two days are the same.
While they’re located away from the hustle of major cities, this vibrant and sustainable coastal community offers many modern conveniences and an incredible lifestyle. On your days off, you can explore stunning beaches, unspoiled wilderness, rich cultural heritage, and some of the best fishing Australia has to offer.

Immediate Start Available
Minimum Commitment: 3–6 months
The Package
- Casual Role – HIGA Level 2
- $32.25 per hour (Monday–Friday)
- $38.70 per hour (Saturday)
- $45.15 per hour (Sunday)
Additional Benefits
- Accommodation available – $75 per week
- Evening meal provided daily
- Staff kitchen available on site

Split shifts required.
Your Role
You’ll be working across several areas of the venue, including:
Bar
- Serving drinks and engaging with customers
- Cleaning and maintaining the bar area
- Stocking fridges
- Processing gaming transactions and payouts
Restaurant
- Taking table orders
- Clearing and resetting tables
- Making coffee for breakfast and dinner service
You may also assist in other areas of the venue as required and follow operational directions from the General Manager.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous Australian bar or restaurant experience (essential)
- Gaming experience preferred but not essential
- Strong cash handling skills
- Current QLD RSA and RSG prior to commencement
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- Positive attitude and ability to think on your feet
