Bottleshop Attendant – Coastal Far North Queensland
Are you an experienced bottleshop or liquor retail professional with excellent product knowledge, outstanding customer service skills, and confidence in cash handling? An exciting opportunity is available in Coastal Far North Queensland for a motivated Bottleshop Attendant to join a busy hospitality venue, offering staff accommodation, an evening meal every day, and the chance to work with a friendly, supportive team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, takes pride in providing great customer service, and can work independently while maintaining high merchandising and presentation standards.
The Role
- Immediate Start
- Preferred 6-month commitment
Casual Position – HIGA Level 3
Pay Rates:
- Monday – Friday: $33.85 per hour
- Saturday: $40.62 per hour
- Sunday: $47.39 per hour
Accommodation & Benefits
- Own private room (shared bathroom – donga style)
- Accommodation: $78 per week
- Evening meal provided daily
- Staff kitchen available onsite
- Live and work in beautiful Coastal Far North Queensland
- Daily Qantas flights from Cairns
- Telstra mobile and internet coverage
- Split shifts required
Your Responsibilities
- Serve customers in both the onsite and offsite bottleshops
- Provide knowledgeable advice on Australian alcohol products
- Process alcohol sales and operate the POS system accurately
- Receive, unpack, price, and rotate stock
- Create attractive product displays and promotions
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bottleshop
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service
- Assist in other areas of the venue when required
- Complete additional duties as directed by the General Manager
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous bottleshop, liquor retail, or hospitality experience
- Excellent knowledge of Australian alcoholic beverages
- Strong cash handling and POS experience
- A current Queensland RSA prior to commencement
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Excellent time management and the ability to work independently
- A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills
- High standards of presentation and attention to detail
