Dining Attendant / Public Area Cleaner – Central Australia – Remote Northern Territory

This position is perfect for someone with solid café/dining experience and a strong work ethic, who’s confident juggling service, cleaning, and guest interaction in a unique outback setting. Early starts mean you’ll be part of the day’s rhythm from the very beginning, supporting both dining and housekeeping operations.
Casual -Level 2 HIGA AWARD
- $33.85 Monday-Friday
- $40.62 Saturday
- $47.39 Sunday
- $67.70 Public Holidays
- Accommodation & Meals $150 per week
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll be the backbone of the morning shift—setting up, running, and maintaining the dining space, then transitioning into cleaning and housekeeping duties across the property. Expect a physically active day with plenty of variety.
- Set up dining area, including bain-maries, and serve food during breakfast
- Keep food service running smoothly and replenished
- Pack down and return items to the kitchen
- Handle high-volume dishwashing
- Assist with morning tea setups as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of dining and common areas
- Deliver friendly, attentive customer service
- Clean public spaces, including amenities and outdoor areas
- Support housekeeping: room servicing, bed making, general cleaning
- Pitch in with other duties as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a café or dining environment is essential
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual, on-your-feet work
- Confident living and working in a remote location
- Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a focus on guest experience
- RSA & Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to obtain before starting)
