An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Duty Manager to join a busy coastal venue in Remote Far North Queensland. Set against stunning ocean views and located within one of Queensland’s renowned fishing regions, this lively hospitality venue attracts a strong flow of tourists throughout the winter season while remaining a central hub for the local community year-round.
This role is ideally suited to a capable hospitality professional with previous supervisory experience who thrives in fast-paced pub environments and enjoys being hands-on across all areas of operations. From bar service and gaming to staff leadership and stock management, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while delivering exceptional customer experiences in a relaxed coastal setting.

✨ PACKAGE & BENEFITS
HIGA Level 5 Casual Role
- Monday–Friday: $37.35 per hour
- Saturday: $44.82 per hour
- Sunday: $52.29 per hour
- Overtime penalty rates paid after 38 hours per week

✨ THE ROLE
This is a highly operational position with a strong focus on customer service, team leadership and venue operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day operations across bar, bistro and gaming areas
- Supervising, mentoring and training food & beverage staff
- Gaming duties including payouts and clearances
- Cash handling and balancing tills
- Opening and closing venue procedures
- Making drinks and stocking fridges
- Monitoring and maintaining stock levels
- Assisting across other operational areas as required
✨ ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous hospitality supervisory experience
- Current RSA, RSG and CLO certificates
- Ability and willingness to obtain:
- Queensland RMLV
- Queensland Approved Manager Licence
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy team environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to live and work remotely
- Ability to successfully complete a Fit2Work clearance
