Housekeeper – Coastal Far North Queensland
Are you an experienced housekeeper who takes pride in delivering spotless rooms, exceptional attention to detail, and outstanding guest experiences? An exciting opportunity is available to join a busy hospitality venue in Coastal Far North Queensland, where you’ll become part of a welcoming team in a beautiful tropical location with discounted staff accommodation and an evening meal provided.
This is a fantastic role for someone who is organised, reliable, able to work independently, and committed to maintaining high housekeeping standards in a fast-paced accommodation environment.
The Role
Commencing: ASAP
Casual Position – HIGA Level 2
Pay Rates:
- Monday – Friday: $33.85 per hour
- Saturday: $40.62 per hour
- Sunday: $47.39 per hour
Accommodation & Benefits
- Own private room
- Accommodation: $78 per week
- Evening meal provided daily
- Staff kitchen available onsite
- Opportunity to live and work in Tropical Far North Queensland
- Qantas flights available daily from Cairns
- Telstra mobile and internet coverage available
- Split shifts may be required
Your Responsibilities
- Clean guest rooms to a consistently high standard
- Make beds and replenish guest amenities
- Complete laundry duties
- Clean and maintain public and common areas
- Report maintenance issues promptly
- Liaise with reception regarding departures and room turnaround
- Follow direction from the General Manager and assist with other housekeeping duties as required
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- The ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude
- Pride in maintaining high presentation and cleanliness standards

You’ll be joining a supportive team of live-in staff, including experienced managers across accommodation, food & beverage, reception, and hotel operations, creating a friendly and professional workplace.
