Housekeeper – Remote Coastal Far North Queensland
Are you an experienced housekeeper with exceptional attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards?
A unique opportunity is available in Remote Coastal Far North Queensland for a reliable and motivated professional who takes pride in presenting guest accommodation to an exceptional standard.
With a very small team, this is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident managing housekeeping duties independently while contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the property.
Commencement: Early September
Commitment: Six-month commitment preferred
Pay & Benefits (Level 2 HIGA Award)
- $33.85 per hour – Monday to Friday
- $40.62 per hour – Saturday
- $47.39 per hour – Sunday
- Self-contained accommodation available for $100 per week
- Accommodation is located approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the venue
Your Responsibilities
- Service rooms to a consistently high standard
- Make beds, clean bathrooms, strip rooms, empty bins, vacuum and mop floors
- Clean windows and ensure all guest areas are spotless
- Complete laundry duties including washing, folding and ironing
- Clean and maintain all common areas
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining the swimming pool and surrounding areas
- Provide assistance in other departments when required
- Perform additional duties as directed
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous housekeeping or accommodation cleaning experience
- Outstanding attention to detail and pride in your work
- The ability to work efficiently and independently
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding work-related references
- A willingness to commit to the full contract period
