Housekeeper – Remote Coastal Far North Queensland
We’re looking for a highly experienced housekeeper who takes genuine pride in their work and consistently delivers immaculate results for a fantastic role located in remote coastal Far North Queensland.
This role will suit someone who has previously worked in housekeeping (ideally in motels, hotels, or similar accommodation), is confident working independently, and maintains exceptional attention to detail even at a fast pace.
With a small team of just three staff, you’ll be trusted to manage your workload efficiently and uphold high presentation standards across all areas.
Commencing: Early June
Commitment: Minimum 3–4 months
Pay Details (Level 2 – HIGA Award):
• $32.31 per hour (Monday–Friday)
• $38.78 per hour (Saturday)
• $45.24 per hour (Sunday)
• Accommodation: $100 per week
Self-contained accommodation is provided, approximately a 5-minute walk from the venue.
Duties
• Thorough cleaning and servicing of rooms to a high standard
• Bed making, bathroom cleaning, room resets, bins, windows, vacuuming and mopping
• Laundry duties including washing, folding and ironing
• Cleaning of common areas (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping)
• Maintaining pool and poolside areas
• Assisting in other areas when required
• General cleaning and ad hoc duties as needed
Candidate Requirements
• Proven housekeeping experience in a professional setting
• Strong work ethic with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently and independently
• Clear communication skills
• Reliable, with strong and recent work references
• Willing to commit for the full duration of the role
