Looking for a hands-on hospitality role where no two days are the same?
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand / Housekeeper / All-Rounder to join a friendly, owner-operated hotel in Outback Queensland. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, a strong work ethic, and the flexibility to assist across multiple departments.

This welcoming country venue has a genuine family atmosphere, with approximately 10 staff living and working onsite. You’ll become part of a supportive team that values teamwork, initiative, and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
What’s on Offer
- Immediate Start
- $34.96 per hour Monday–Friday
- $41.96 per hour Saturday
- $48.95 per hour Sunday
- Staff accommodation $100 per week
- 50% discounted meals

The Role
This is a busy, high-volume venue where you’ll work across several departments to help keep daily operations running smoothly. The kitchen is extremely fast-paced, so confidence working under pressure is essential.
Your duties will include:
- Assisting chefs with food preparation and basic cooking
- General kitchen hand duties including cleaning and dishwashing
- Plating meals and assisting during busy service periods
- Running meals to guests
- Assisting with managing the pass
- Helping prepare catering orders
- Assisting with housekeeping as required
- Providing occasional assistance in the bottle shop or bar
- General all-round venue duties as required
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen (essential)
- Basic cooking skills (highly regarded)
- A strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
- The ability to remain calm and efficient in a high-pressure environment
- A willingness to assist across multiple departments
- A current RSA
- Previous remote hospitality experience (preferred)
Please note: Applicants must have previous experience in a similar hospitality venue to be considered.
Commitment
We are looking for someone who is keen to become part of the team, with a minimum six-month commitment preferred.
