Are you a practical, hands-on couple who enjoys variety and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves? We’re looking for an adaptable team with previous kitchen experience to join a busy remote venue in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working across multiple departments and are happy living in a remote community, this could be the perfect opportunity.
Working across several businesses within the group, you’ll enjoy a diverse role where every day is different. From customer service and food preparation through to housekeeping and stock handling, you’ll become an integral part of a close-knit team delivering great service to locals and travellers alike.
Please Note: Applicants must have their own vehicle to be considered for this position.
The Role
You’ll assist across a variety of operational areas, supporting the day-to-day running of the roadhouse, store and surrounding facilities.
Your Duties Will Include
- Providing friendly customer service at the store and roadhouse counter
- Preparing simple short-order meals and assisting with kitchen duties
- Washing dishes and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen
- Housekeeping duties including servicing rooms, making beds and cleaning bathrooms
- General cleaning of guest and common areas
- Receiving, unloading and unpacking stock
- Replenishing shelves and distributing stock as required
- Cash handling and point-of-sale transactions
- Assisting with the presentation and cleanliness of the roadhouse
- Providing support within the campground when required
- Completing other general duties as directed
About You
We’re looking for a reliable, energetic couple who enjoy working together and are happy to assist wherever needed.
To be successful you’ll have:
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience
- A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to work across multiple departments
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to live and work in a remote location
- A current vehicle for transport
- A WA Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
Package
- Casual employment
- Monday – Friday $35.66 per hour
- Saturday $42.79 per hour
- Sunday $49.92 per hour
- Accommodation & Daily Duty Meal $100 per week eachÂ
- Start date: End August / Early September 2026
- Eligible role for 417 & 462 Working Holiday Visa extension
