Front of House / Kitchenhand Couple – Remote Coastal Queensland
Are you an experienced hospitality couple, one with strong bar & bistro and the other with kitchenhand skills looking for your next adventure by the coast?
We are seeking a friendly, reliable couple to join a popular waterfront hotel in Remote Coastal Queensland, where excellent customer service, teamwork, and a willingness to pitch in across all areas of the venue is highly valued.
Set in a welcoming fishing community renowned for its stunning ocean views, fresh seafood, and spectacular sunsets, this relaxed coastal pub is a favourite among locals, travellers, and seasonal visitors alike. With a busy food and beverage operation and a supportive team environment, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their role and thrives in a close-knit regional community.
Package
Casual Pay Rates – Level 2
- Monday to Friday: $32.31 per hour
- Saturday: $38.78 per hour
- Sunday: $45.24 per hour
Accommodation
- Shared staff accommodation available
- $60 per week each for couples
Your Key Duties for the FOH role:
- General bar and bistro service
- Prepare and serve drinks
- Assist with customer orders and table service
- Restock fridges and maintain stock levels
- General hotel cleaning prior to opening (public areas, bar, bistro)
- Support the team with other daily tasks as needed
Gaming experience is an advantage but not essential.
Your Key Duties for the Kitchenhand role:
- Washing dishes
- General kitchen cleaning-equipment cleaning, sweeping, mopping
- Taking out the bins
- Assist with unpacking stock into the cold rooms
- Assist chefs with basic food prep
- Support the team with other daily tasks as needed
About the two of you:
- Previous F&B or hospitality experience
- Current RSA & RSG (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen
- Current Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented
- Happy to live and work in a remote coastal region
- Able to pass a Fit2Work clearance
